Written and directed by Kidar Sharma the romantic drama movie Hamari Yaad Aye Gi was released in 1961. Though the movie is a romantic but it ends in tragedy. Hero of the movie Ashok rented the house of a young widow and fall in love with another girl who betrayed him and Ashok dies of illness and loneliness.

The song Kabhi Tanhaiyon Mein Yun Hamari Yaad Aye Gi was a hit one and still holds its popularity even after 55 years. This song was playback by the popular singer of her times Mubarak Begum. Mubarak Begum born in 1940, India started her career from All India Radio, she sung in more than 150 movies but currently the 76 years old melody queen of hes times is living in isolation in a one room house in Mumbai.
