Allemande Dance

Allemande is a popular German instrumental dance. This dance is a musical composition in a moderate tempo. During 18th century this dance was developed by a German folk dancer. It is still popular and is surviving in Germany and Switzerland.

This music is composed by the music specialist Wahneta Meixsell. She has taught instrumental music for preschool as well as for grade K-2

Lang Aaja Patan Chana Da Yaar Instrumental

Introduction

In this instrumental music Lang Aaja Patan Chana Da Yaar Adnan Sami and Zakir Hussain has described the love story of Sohni and Mahiwal. It is a folk song popular from ages in both part of Punjab (India and Pakistan). This story is also a popular folktale of Sindh and Rajhistan.

It is a story of tragic romance of two lovers. Sohni used to cross the river Chenab every night on a backed earthenware pot to see her lover. One night her sister in law replaced the pot with an unbaked vessel which was dissolved in the mid of river and Sohni was died in the whirling waves of the river Chenab.

The pair of Adnan Sami and Zakir Hussain is at their best in this folk instrumental music. The music got popularity in India and Pakistan.

Tabla Instrumental

Ustad Zakir Hussain is an Indian tabla (Indian traditional drums) player. Due to his hard work and best performances in his specific field of music he was given the title of Ustad (an expert and highly skilled person in a specific field of music) by the Indian music industry. He was awarded with the United States National Endowment for the Arts's National Heritage Fellowship. This is the highest award which is only given to traditional artists. Indian government awarded him with the high profile title of Padma Shri and Padma Bhushan. In 1990 Sangeet Natak Akademi of India honored him with the Sangeet Natak Akademi Award.
Zakir has performed in different countries including United States, United Kingdom and Europe. His father Ustad Allah Rakha is also considered as one of the expert of Tabla performance. Zakir is also expert in playing other traditional instrumental musical equipment.
